On May 27, 2016, Thermal Motors participated in the conference organized by the Moscow Times Conferences: “Doing Businesses with Russia. Opportunities and Rules of the Russian Market”. The event gathered top-level representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, PepsiCo, Siemens, 3M and other companies.

There were around 50 representatives from the international business community. The event helped to create a solid understanding of the views of different stakeholders on making business with Russia.

The conclusion made from the event is to not expect healthy development/financial state-level policies in the foreseeable future. But rather to rely on local Russian business partners in establishing local contry small and medium size entrepreneurial businesses. The latter will be additionally supported by the improving dynamics in the work of tax and antitrust authorities, by positive changes in industry policies, and by existing local economic zones like the Skolkovo Innovation Center.
